Walkies

Mummy and I went for a nice long walk last night...it even got dark while we were out!!! But when mummy called me I didn't come cos I was busy finding a smell. Mummy got cross and told me off for having "selective hearing". I don't know what that is but it's not fair she tells me off because I must have caught it from Sarah. Daddy says Sarah's got "selective hearing" alllll the time.

WOW

Just a quick post while all is quiet at home and before I get to the serious business of sleep.... I just checked my Dogster account and already have 7 new friends and have been left 7 bones!!! I know I'm cute but I didn't realise I would be an international mega-star quite so soon.
Tonight I will dream of my new friends from all around the world (especially the cute girl beagles) and drool as I dream of all those yummy bones.

Good night to you all :)

Yipppeeee

Got a walk this morning...that's two days in a row!!! Met some very unpleasant canines this morning. First of all there were two Jack Russells where the yappy dog lives and they were rude, then I met a lab and she growled at me, (I could understand why as she was chained up outside while her people pigged out on breakfast in the Ranges, I would have stayed and calmed the situation but Wendy didn't think it was such a good idea) and then on the way home I saw the two JRs again and the Yappy Dog. Now I don't mean to be breedist but really these dogs need some serious attitude adjustment!

We had a bit of a run today, poor Wendy on her silly two legs couldn't keep up...and I don't mean to be unkind but maybe she should join me on the Royal Canine "light" diet (if you know what i mean!).

Well, I've got some serious sleeping to get through.

Bye for now

My adventures in the jungle...I mean my front garden

As you can see I did get to go for a walk this morning. Before we went I got Wendy to film me exploring our front garden.
The walk was great. I tried to visit Pet Panache but the door was shut and stupid Wendy wouldn't even try to open it!!! Anway, we kept walking and I let her off the lead for awhile so I could chase magpies...she has trouble keeping up as she's only got two legs (a definately design flaw!). As we went past the place where the little people go to we saw them....Sue and Geoff, they were waiting just for me. Well Wendy went inside and I was very worried about her...how am I supposed to look after her if she wanders off leaving me with Sue and Geoff? As she went in all these awful people waved flyers at her and tried to get her attention but she ran past them. She was gone for a little while then came back out and gave a flyer back to one man. She smiled at him so he must ok I guess. She and Sue talked about who was going to win (win what???) and that some guy called Ted Bailieau was a bad man for shutting schools! More importantly we walked to PP and Geoff got me to look after him while Wendy and Sue visited another shop. Geoff gave me some dog chocs. I met a very cute Cavalier called Charlotte (very sweet) and then we wandered home. Marli said hi but I ignored her!
See ya.

Saturday Morning

It's Saturday morning and I can tell they're asleep in there when SHE should be walking me! Well I think I need to start barking to get some attention.
I've visited some blogs today of other beagles..they get to go for walks all the time and live in doors AND meet other beagles! My life is soooooooo unfair.
Aha, Wendy is moving around in there...may get a chance to go out if I look sad enough. Best get off her lap top or she'll get grumpier than usual!

Introduction to Max

Hi,

My name is Max. I am a well loved and incredibly good looking Beagle who celebrated his birthday yesterday. I won't tell you how old I am, best to keep the magic alive.
I own three people:
  • Aaron (big, grumpy, thinks he's the alpha male....sucker!!!)
  • Wendy (also big and sometimes grumpy, feeds me and walks me but sometimes is cruel and puts horrible drops in my ears and eyes...a real sucker, lets me in when Aaron's out!)
  • Sarah (smallish, also grumpy, never feeds me except her leftovers which she hopes Wendy hasn't spotted)
I live up a hill where life is cold. "Let me in" I bark but they ignore me...the advantage of opposable thumbs? You get to open doors. The advantage of an annoying persistent bark and whine? You get humans to open doors.

I've been for one walk today. Some ok smells but nothing special. Yappy dog must be away as is the cute poodle. Marli next door and I had a chat but I caught her talking to my people not her own so we ended up having words. Chased a few kookaburras today, but have to be careful in case Wendy catches me as she's always feeding them...meat!!!!! (it should be for me...where's the love??)

Spent much of the day with Wendy in my garden moving stuff around...she calls it gardening and gets extra grumpy when she does it. The big grumpy male (BGM) has been gone all day so I should be inside. (Woof..hello, cold out here) What's the point, no one listens?

Best go.

Sniff ya later
